re-skin talks to Actor Kerry Lee Dewing about  her health and beauty routine and what keeps her motivated 

What sets your soul on fire? (I.e. gets you out of the bed in the morning)

The idea of a new day really. A new set of experiences, challenges and accomplishments that await me,  people and interactions and the unknown.

How do you typically start the day? 

Meditation

Talk us through you’re A.M and P.M beauty routine

The AM is pretty fluid I use an antioxidant gel and then sunblock.

PM involves a wash with often just an oil, a toner and then a combination of re-skin serum & Environ, using a roller, which changes depending on how my skin feels at the time. 

What does a day on your plate look like?

  • Coffee, coffee, coffee!
  • Eggs & Avocado 
  • Smoothy
  • Anything Salmon
  • Nuts! Love nuts 
  • Chicken & veg something. 
  • And desert - always desert! 

Do you have any daily self-care rituals that help you feel your best?

Meditating, taking re-skinVitally vitamins, training in some capacity, drinking plenty of water and taking magnesium before bed are the consistent priorities in my daily care. 

How do you keep yourself motivated?

I find routine is my motivation. Once my daily plan is set-  I stick to it. 

Where would we find you on a Sunday afternoon?

It's so varied - but either going for a walk, lazing on the beach, exploring markets, going to the movies, or just hanging on the couch wrapped in a blanket.

If today had an extra hour how would you use it?

Catching up with people, because everyone has busy lives seeing friends and family seems almost  impossible at times. 

What’s your favourite destination you’ve travelled to?

Greece !!! 

 

What corner of the world are you yet to explore but yearning to?

Japan and Sri Lanka were on the 2020 itinerary.

 

Your proudest achievement to date is…

Being “proud” is something I find hard. lf I feel like I’ve worked extremely hard for something then is it worthy of acknowledgment. I sat a dance exam, many years ago, where the bar was set very high. I surpassed it and that I'm proud of.

 

When are you your most confident? 

Truly when my hormones are in their rare state of equilibrium. I feel stronger, more energised, have a positive disposition, skin is clear, water retention is low, sleep is good and eating well is easy.

What does ‘beauty’ mean to you?

To me, beauty is unmasked and what we radiate from the inside out. Beauty is a reflection of our holistic care, maintenance and growth, on an emotional and physical level.
