How re.skin can help with problem skin

Problem skin?

Dry and itchy skin

Eczema is a common skin condition that causes redness, inflammation, dryness and itching of the skin. The exact cause of eczema is not known but with the most common form of eczema – called atopic dermatitis, there is often a family history of allergies and genetic factors can make it more likely for someone to develop eczema. The skin barrier of eczema sufferers doesn’t work as well as it does in people without the condition. That is what causes the dry, itchy skin – because the barrier is not working moisture is not retained, so eczema prone skin dries out more easily. The good news is re.skin supplements contain Vitamin B3, which is also referred to as Niacinamide. Niacinamide is the most widely recognised form of Vitamin B3. Healthy levels can improve skin elasticity, dramatically improve skin barrier function, minimise discolouration and revive skin tone and texture. Improved skin barrier performance helps retain moisture for longer, reduces uneven skin tone and sensitivity and regulates oil flow. While sun protection can shield skin from UVA and UVB rays, Vitamin B3 also provides protection from the sun’s infrared heat, which can lead to pigmentation and free radical damage. Vitamin B2 and Vitamin C (also found in re.skin's supplements) can help to reduce inflammation and ease dryness.

The botanical antioxidant is a potent compound when it comes to neutralising free radicals linked to skin ageing. It is also very effective against acne-causing bacteria.

Pigmentation (also referred to as hyperpigmentation) occurs when areas of the skin darken due to an increase in melanin. It’s a very common skin concern and unfortunately can worsen with age. Pigmentation can occur anywhere on your skin but can be very frustrating when visible on your face and neck. Kiwi Seed Oil, found in our serum, is a beauty blessing, with high levels of Vitamin E and C, as well as omega-3 fatty acids. Bursting with antioxidants, Kiwi Seed Oil delivers intense hydration and boosts collagen production, combating ageing and helping to keep dryness at bay. The wonder ingredient also contains natural AHAs (alpha-hydroxy acids), which are a group of natural acids used topically to moisturise and exfoliate the skin. AHAs have been proven effective in treating oily, blemish-prone, congested and pigmented skin.
